Who we are?

We are just a normal bunch of guys who were not only lucky enough to work together, but also have a shared passion of campers and customs. We found ourselves working all day on customer vehicles and then would stay in the evenings and come in at weekends to work on our own projects. Our boss, Sat Nijjar, realising our common interests decided that not only would he help support our own builds, but help turn our passion into a business in its own right and Cross Street Customs was born!

Meet the Team

With four camper lovers already part of the Cross Street Group Monday mornings meetings were very exciting.

Sat Nijjar - Managing Director

Sat is the sole director of the Cross Street Group and has worked hard over the years to build a successful group of local businesses. With two independent repair workshops, large vehicle sales forecourt, local taxi company, a Travel company and most recently after finding his passion for camper vans Cross Street Customs.

Sat recently found a new mountain biking hobby, on his first big trip out his fellow mountain bikers arrived in the camper and adventure vans. Sat instantly found his passion for these vans after seeing not only how useful and varied they can be but how they can give someone freedom and a second life-style.

Daniel Sinclair - Site Manager

Dan has been building his own camper over the last year realising how many times you can change your mind on what you what a need. With a young daughter and a mountain biking family he has seen how hard it can be to make that one van suitable for your family’s adventure.

With over 16 years mechanical and custom furniture making experience, has made this new venture even more exciting. This allows us to be different and design and build camper and adventure vans in our own way. The way that suits your adventure, the way that makes you stand out.

Peter Cheeseman - Head Tech

Peter has over 18 years of experience in auto electrics and vehicle repairs. Formally our workshop manager Pete jumped at the chance to head up our new build workshop.

Peter has had his Viavro camper for over 5 years, camping with his wife and kids is a lifestyle. Bringing the lifestyle to work has us having to kick Pete out the door at 17:30 every night.

Being in control of the team and making sure each camper is finished perfectly is important to Pete but there’s nothing he loves more than seeing if he can slide a new bit of technology into each van.

Bradley Woodwards - Camper Builder

Bradley has just passed his motor vehicle repairs level 3 with the company after 4 years of hard work. The company has seen Bradley progress from a young shy lad to the technician he is today.

When the company started to build camper Bradley would be stood watching in his lunch breaks and after he finished work, we moved Bradley to the customs team and with some carpentry courses and Pete’s auto electrical experience he is finding his feet and will be building campers on his own in no time.

Where it happens

All the van conversion happen under one roof at our Cross Street garage location.
